RMC 2025 to Host 12 Expert Workshops on Circular Materials

The Renewable Materials Conference (RMC) 2025, organized by the nova-Institute, will take place from 22–24 September 2025 in Siegburg/Cologne, Germany. This premier international event will spotlight innovations replacing fossil carbon in chemicals and materials with renewable carbon from biomass, CO₂, and recycling.

This year’s program expands significantly with 12 interactive workshops, running in parallel with the main conference tracks. These deep-dive sessions offer hands-on insights across industrial innovations, business planning, policy, marketing, biodegradability, AI in polymers, and more.

Workshop Highlights Include:

  • Holcim’s CO₂-to-Business model
  • SYKLO’s bio-composites from waste
  • PtX Lab’s policy workshop on CO₂ utilization
  • Nova-Institute’s business plan guidance for SMEs
  • Fraunhofer’s “Air2Chem” CO₂-to-chemicals initiative
  • HYDRA & BASF’s biodegradability integration strategies
  • TNO’s AI for polymer design
  • Science Based Targets Net Zero revisions

Over 500 participants are expected to attend the full event, which includes 75 expert presentations, 20 panel discussions, and a table-top exhibition across two floors. Notably, the “Renewable Material of the Year 2025” award, sponsored by Covestro, will also be presented.
