Sateri’s emphasis on Lyocell is in line with the growing market for eco-friendly fabrics. By 2030, the present 900,000-ton worldwide Lyocell capacity is expected to increase to 3,200,000 tonnes. “We are witnessing a significant rise in demand for sustainably produced global man-made cellulosic fibres, particularly Lyocell,” said Louis Tsai Tsung Ying, Downstream Business Development Manager, Sateri.

Sateri can produce more than 2.1 million tonnes in total. The business runs three plants that produce Lyocell fibre with 250,000 tonnes of output capacity per year.

The worldwide forest certification system PEFC-CoC (Chain of Custody) has approved Sateri’s cellulosic fibre facilities, which also satisfy the EU-BAT (Best Available Technology) rules.

Additionally, Sateri attended the 7th International Annual Conference on Textiles and Clothing, which took place in Lahore recently in 2024. “We hope to establish trusting relationships with regional industry stakeholders and investigate cooperative opportunities through important industry events like this one.”

to promote expansion in Pakistan’s lyocell market for the industry’s overall gain,” Mr. Tsai continued. The event, which is hosted by TEXTalk International, focusses on environmentally friendly textile industry solutions.
