Garware Technical Fibres Ltd. (GTFL), a global leader in technical textiles, has launched Invisi Grille, India’s first engineered invisible safety grille, setting a new benchmark in the country’s growing high-rise safety market. This launch formalizes a largely unorganized sector by offering a standardized, internationally certified solution that blends modern safety with sleek aesthetics, while supporting the Make in India vision.
With urban India adding more than 1,000 high-rise projects annually, demand for innovative, safe, and visually pleasing solutions has surged. The current market is fragmented, dominated by low-quality options that compromise on breaking strength, finish, and fire evacuation safety due to the use of steel wires.
To address these shortcomings, GTFL developed Invisi Grille, the first engineered and certified solution of its kind in India. Designed with a proprietary synthetic polymer core, it delivers superior strength, rust-free performance, and weather resistance while ensuring safety without blocking emergency exits.
The grille is engineered to provide double the strength of conventional grills while remaining nearly invisible, preserving panoramic views. It is rust-free, UV- and weather-resistant, lightweight, quick to install, low-maintenance, and safe for children, pets, and families.
Mr. Shujaul Rehman, CEO of GTFL, emphasized that Invisi Grille represents a strategic milestone in India’s path to self-reliance in technical textiles, showcasing indigenous innovation that meets global standards and expands opportunities in domestic and export markets.
Mr. Sarabjit Singh Khurana, President of Domestic Business at GTFL, pointed out that low-quality imported grilles using steel wires compromise both safety and evacuation protocols, making them life-threatening during emergencies.
Conceptualized, engineered, and manufactured entirely in India, Invisi Grille is available nationwide for premium residential and urban projects in 2.5 mm and 3.0 mm thicknesses, with Grey, White, and Black color options, and customizable designs. Offering a breaking strength up to 400 kgf and resilience against impact loads of up to 600 Joules, it sets a new benchmark for high-rise safety with durability and elegance.
