MoU with Tamil Nadu Government Enables Major Expansion in Coimbatore
Shiva Texyarn will invest ₹150 crore in Coimbatore to boost yarn and technical textile fabric manufacturing, following an MoU exchange with the Tamil Nadu government at the TN Rising Investors’ Meeting.
Shiva Texyarn has announced an investment of ₹150 crore in the establishment of a technical textile fabric manufacturing facility in Coimbatore. This development follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the company and the Government of Tamil Nadu, paving the way for the creation of 1,000 new jobs in both yarn production and technical textile fabric manufacturing.
The MoU was formalized during the TN Rising Investors’ Meeting held on 25 November 2025 at Hotel Le Méridien.
The agreement was exchanged by Sundararaman, Managing Director of Shiva Texyarn, and Darez Ahamed, Managing Director of Guidance — the state’s investment promotion and single-window facilitation agency under the Industries Department.
