Gurugram, April 16, 2025 — Shivtek Spechemi Industries Ltd, a leading name in specialty chemicals and part of the Shiva Group, has announced a major investment of ₹650 crore to set up two new eco-friendly chemical plants in Gujarat and Rajasthan. Spanning 100 acres, these facilities are expected to generate over 500 jobs within three years and significantly scale up the company’s production capabilities to 6,50,000 MTPA.
The new plants will focus on sustainable production of caustic soda, chlorine, and high-demand derivatives like chlorinated paraffin and chlorinated polyethylene. Notably, they will pioneer the manufacturing of high-grade chlorinated compounds for the first time in India, boosting import substitution and export readiness.
Strategically located near Hazira port and northern distribution hubs, the Gujarat and Rajasthan sites will provide Shivtek with strong logistical advantages. CRISIL has reaffirmed Shivtek’s A- rating for three consecutive years, a testament to its sustainable and responsible growth.
Managing Director Dr. Amitt Nenwani highlighted that this expansion aligns with India’s vision to become a global specialty chemicals hub. Production at these new sites is slated to begin between 2028 and 2029.
