Strafe Unveils Eco-Friendly Palisade Down Jacket
Strafe Outerwear, the Aspen-based innovator in technical mountain apparel, has announced the launch of its first-ever down jacket — the Palisade Down Insulator — set to debut in Fall/Winter 2025–2026.
Crafted in collaboration with Pertex®, NetPlus®, and ALLIED Feather + Down, the Palisade is built for both performance and sustainability. It combines 800-fill power goose down, PFAS-free recycled nylon made from reclaimed fishing nets, and Pertex® Diamond Fuse fabric for exceptional durability and warmth.
“This jacket blends cutting-edge tech with a clean design, offering warmth, durability, and a reduced environmental footprint,” said Pia Halloran, VP of Product & Design at Strafe.
The use of NetPlus® nylon, developed from discarded fishing nets, helps combat ocean plastic pollution while supporting coastal communities. The down is RDS- and GRS-certified by ALLIED Feather + Down, ensuring full traceability and ethical sourcing.
Enhanced by ExpeDRY™ technology from FUZE, the jacket dries faster and manages moisture more effectively — making it ideal for unpredictable alpine conditions.
Offered in both men’s and women’s styles, the Palisade Down Insulator will be available at strafeouterwear.com and select retailers in late 2025.
