Suzuki Motorcycle India to Set Up ₹1,200 Cr Plant in Haryana
Suzuki Motorcycle India has unveiled plans to invest ₹1,200 crore in establishing a new two-wheeler manufacturing plant in Kharkhoda, Haryana. Spread across 100 acres in the Industrial Model Township, the facility is set to begin operations by 2027 with an initial annual production capacity of 750,000 units.
The new plant will feature modern, energy-efficient systems and adopt lean manufacturing and automation to enhance productivity and sustainability. According to Kenichi Umeda, Managing Director of Suzuki Motorcycle India, the project aligns with India’s manufacturing vision and will create local employment while strengthening the company’s supply chain ecosystem.
This strategic move follows a strong sales performance in April 2025, with over 112,000 units sold—a 14% year-on-year increase. Suzuki has also entered the EV space with the launch of its first electric scooter, the e-Access, marking its push toward cleaner, smarter mobility solutions.
