TechnoSport, a Bengaluru-based activewear company, on Tuesday announced an investment of ₹130 crore for expansion of its existing manufacturing facility in Erode, Tamil Nadu. The company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tamil Nadu government at the Vettri Tamil Nadu Investment Conclave 2026.
The expansion comes as TechnoSport grows its retail presence, with 66 exclusive brand outlets across markets and product categories. The investment is expected to create 500 jobs in Tamil Nadu and increase the company’s manufacturing capacity from 25 tonnes per day to 40 tonnes per day by the end of FY27, according to the company.
“Tamil Nadu has been an important part of TechnoSport’s manufacturing journey. As we grow, we believe scale should create value beyond products by generating employment, strengthening manufacturing capabilities, and contributing to the wider ecosystem around us. This ₹130 crore investment in Erode represents another important step in that journey,” said Sunil Jhunjhunwala, Co-founder & Managing Director, TechnoSport.
The company also operates a manufacturing facility in Tiruppur, adding to its manufacturing presence in the state.
The company has more than 16,000 retail outlets across India and is supported by over 40 super stockists. It currently has more than 66 exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) and plans to increase this to around 130 by the end of FY27. It also operates 25 TechnoSport Express stores.
