Already producing the chemical components of Pyroshell™, TEXTILCOLOR AG will now also hold the patents for its application technology. This strategic move enhances the company’s international market presence and expands access to Pyroshell™ for high-tech textile manufacturers.
Pyroshell™ provides permanent flame protection for polyamide and polyester fabrics, representing a major advancement in protective textiles. The technology minimizes burn risks by significantly expanding the textile structure when exposed to flames, creating a barrier that delays the onset of second-degree burns and provides critical additional reaction time compared to conventional flame protection. Unlike traditional treatments, Pyroshell™ is fully integrated into the fabric, ensuring halogen-free, permanent protection without compromising breathability, elasticity, or freedom of movement.
This makes Pyroshell™ ideal for professionals requiring superior protection—such as security personnel, railway workers, police officers, electricians, and military special forces—without sacrificing comfort. The technology is already utilized in tactical apparel, including UF PRO’s Striker FR Gen.2 BDU, designed for extreme conditions such as flashover fires and IED scenarios.
