AMI is set to launch the Textiles Recycling Expo USA at the Charlotte Convention Center, North Carolina, on April 29–30, 2026. Building on the successful debut in Brussels (June 2025)—which drew 126 exhibitors and 3,336 attendees from 67 countries—the U.S. edition aims to address the urgent issue of textile waste, including fabrics, clothing, footwear, fibers, and nonwovens recycling.
Zied Chetoui, Event Manager, emphasized growing demand for a dedicated U.S. platform to unite the textile recycling ecosystem and foster collaboration, innovation, and dialogue.
With over 10 million tons of textiles discarded annually in the U.S. and minimal recycling rates, the event arrives at a critical moment for the fashion and waste sectors, which are under pressure to adopt circular solutions and reduce landfill dependency.
Charlotte was selected for its strong textile industry presence, research institutions, and logistical advantages. The expo will feature a robust exhibition hall and an open conference theater, offering insights into market trends, policy developments, technical advancements, and investment opportunities.
Andy Beevers, AMI’s Events Director, noted the event’s strategic relevance and alignment with AMI’s portfolio of U.S.-based sustainability-focused expos, such as the Plastics World Expos.
