TMAS Showcases Swedish Textile Tech in Frankfurt

Swedish textile machinery manufacturers, united under TMAS, will showcase their latest innovations at Techtextil and Texprocess, taking place from April 21–24 at Messe Frankfurt.

The association’s shared philosophy centres on process stability, intelligent automation, and long-term industrial reliability. Rather than focusing on isolated machine functions, TMAS members prioritise precise control of production variables that directly impact quality, efficiency, and uptime.

Smart Weaving and Yarn Control

At Techtextil (Hall 12, Stand C21), Vandewiele Sweden AB will highlight its expertise in advanced weft feeding and tension control. By ensuring consistent yarn delivery at increasingly high loom speeds, the company enables weaving mills to operate close to technical limits without compromising fabric quality. Its data-ready weft feeders demonstrate practical digitalisation designed to enhance operational value rather than add complexity.

Similarly, Eltex of Sweden (Hall 12.0, Stand C53) will present electronic yarn sensors and tension monitoring systems that detect breaks or irregular tension in real time. The EyETM Multiact system for heat-setting machines offers individual yarn tension control with automatic machine stop functions, while the ACT-R system for rapier weaving ensures stable weft tension for both recycled yarns and high-performance fibres such as Kevlar.

Advanced Dyeing and Finishing

In Hall 12.0 (Stand C56B), BW Converting will introduce its Baldwin TexChroma digital spray dyeing system, following the success of TexCoat G4. TexChroma can reduce energy, dye, and chemical use by over 30% compared to conventional methods and up to 50% versus exhaust dyeing. Its technology mixes reactive dyes and fixation chemicals seconds before application, eliminating uneven dyeing and ensuring colour consistency.

AI-Powered Production Systems

At Texprocess (Hall 8, Stand B38), Eton Systems will demonstrate its AI-powered unit production system (aUPS). Managed through the advanced ETONingenious™ software platform, the system optimises material handling, reduces manual transport, and enables flexible response to custom orders without interrupting mass production. Designed for circular garment identification, it also aims to expand into broader quality control functions.

Precision Cutting and Slitting

Also at Texprocess (Hall 8.0, Stand C43), Svegea will showcase its EC 200-C colarette cutter and FA 350 fully automatic roll slitting machine. The FA 350 offers high-capacity, energy-efficient roll conversion with servo-controlled precision cutting for knitted and woven technical fabrics. Enhanced touchscreen controls and automatic knife speed adjustment ensure consistent cutting quality throughout the production cycle.

Sustainable Productivity as a Foundation

Across all participating companies, the common objective is to deliver measurable productivity gains rather than abstract automation goals. By reducing waste, improving uptime, and ensuring repeatable quality, Swedish textile machinery suppliers are helping manufacturers remain competitive in high-cost markets while building a foundation for sustainable industrial growth.
