UK Textile Innovations at ITMA Asia 2025

Verivide, James Heal, and Strayfield are set to showcase their latest textile technology innovations at ITMA Asia + CITME in Singapore from October 28–31.

DigiEye Imaging System: Precision Colour Management

Verivide will present its new DigiEye system, featuring 100% LED illumination. This upgrade improves colour accuracy and promotes environmentally responsible practices. Furthermore, integrated dust filtration and a fully enclosed camera enhance efficiency and security. Unlike its predecessor, the DigiEye eliminates the need for annual lamp changes. It also includes automated image capture, lighting controls, and geometry checks, allowing faster sample imaging.

The system offers a 67% larger imaging area, a 112% larger measurement area, and a 55% higher drawer load rating. Additionally, its LED lights last ten times longer. Integrated with UltraView, VisionView, and the VeriVide Portal, DigiEye offers a comprehensive colour management solution.

Martindale Motion: Advanced Abrasion & Pilling Testing

James Heal introduces the redesigned Martindale Motion, a nine-station instrument with individual lifting heads. This allows multiple tests to run independently, increasing efficiency. Samples remain intact at the end, reducing the need for retesting. New hinged access simplifies maintenance and switching between tests.

Martindale Motion builds on decades of innovation, adding touchscreen controls, safety features, and silent operation. It represents a significant improvement in productivity for textile testing.

Strayfield Radio Frequency Drying: Sustainable Efficiency

Strayfield will highlight its radio frequency (RF) drying technology, installed in over 4,000 facilities worldwide. This method ensures uniform drying, preserves fibre integrity, and maintains colour vibrancy without shrinkage or yellowing. Adaptive electrodes adjust power delivery based on product height and moisture, eliminating energy waste. Unlike conventional systems, full-area plates provide consistent energy density for gentle drying.

Looking Ahead

These UK companies, represented by BTMA, are advancing textile manufacturing through innovation. Their solutions combine efficiency, sustainability, and precision, offering clear benefits to the global textile industry.
