Vipul Organics Limited, a leading specialty chemicals company known for its pigments and dyes, has announced a major strategic move into membrane manufacturing, expanding its portfolio to address high-growth sectors such as water and wastewater treatment, pharmaceuticals, food processing, and industrial filtration.
The initiative is part of the company’s forward-looking approach to innovation, sustainability, and business diversification. Membrane technology plays a vital role in enabling zero-liquid discharge, resource recovery, and clean water access, aligning with global sustainability goals.
The new venture will operate from a dedicated greenfield facility in Saykha, Gujarat, which will house state-of-the-art R&D, engineering, and production capabilities. The initiative is led by Dr. Vatsal Shah, a PhD in membrane technology from Imperial College London and the younger son of Managing Director Mr. Vipul P. Shah.
This expansion supports Vipul Organics’ vision to tap into the USD 350+ billion global water treatment market and cater to both Indian and international demand. The company views membranes as a natural extension of its expertise in specialty chemicals and a strategic enabler for future-ready, circular industrial processes.
“This move builds on our core strengths and reflects our commitment to responsible growth,” said Mr. Vipul P. Shah.
