Westex, a Milliken Brand, to Showcase Innovative Flame-Resistant Textiles and Collaborations at 2023 NSC Safety Congress and Expo

As the 2023 National Safety Council (NSC) Safety Congress and Expo approaches, Westex, a Milliken brand known for its cutting-edge flame-resistant textiles, is gearing up to unveil a range of exciting products and insights. The event, taking place in New Orleans from October 23 to 25, promises to be a hotspot for industry professionals, and Westex is not holding back in making the most of this opportunity.

Westex will be showcasing popular garments produced by well-known brands such as Ariat, Carhartt, and Wrangler, all of which rely on Westex’s expertise in creating flame-resistant textiles. Among the key products to be featured are Westex DH Air, Westex Indigo denim, and the Polartec FR collection. Moreover, attendees can expect to see new high-visibility options and stretch indigo denim made with Repreve recycled fibers.

Attendees will have the unique opportunity to gain insights into the world of flame-resistant protective garments through two free-to-attend presentations by Westex FR experts. These presentations will delve into the key drivers behind flame-retardant clothing and dispel common myths and realities associated with them. Safety advocate Brandon Schroeder, founder of Believe in Safety, will also be making an appearance at the Westex booth. In 2023, Schroeder partnered with Westex at various regional shows, sharing his personal arc flash survival story and emphasizing the critical importance of proper personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.

Collaboration and sustainability are at the forefront of Westex’s initiatives. Representatives from Lenzing will be present to discuss the use of Tencel lyocell in Westex fabrics, highlighting the brand’s commitment to integrating innovative materials into their flame-resistant textiles.
