Yarn Expo Spring 2025: Record Success with Sustainable Focus

The Yarn Expo Spring 2025 concluded on a high note, marking a significant milestone with over 560 exhibitors from 13 countries and regions, drawing nearly 24,000 visitors from 123 countries. Held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, the event spanned 27,000 sqm, showcasing the textile industry’s growing shift towards a circular economy. Products featured included eco-friendly cotton yarns, recycled fibres, and bio-based materials, reinforcing the sector’s commitment to sustainability.

Ms. Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, noted that Yarn Expo continues to strengthen its role in connecting the global textile community, with a focus on sustainability and evolving market trends. This edition saw a notable increase in international participation, particularly from emerging sectors such as eco-friendly yarns and recycled fibres. The fair’s vibrant atmosphere, combined with fringe events like the China Fibres and China Yarns Fashion Trends Shows, provided valuable insights for industry players.

Exhibitors praised the event as an excellent platform for promoting eco-conscious products and forging new business connections. Many highlighted the growing demand for sustainable materials and innovative fibres, reflecting the broader shift toward responsible consumerism in the textile market.
