Archroma, a global leader in specialty chemicals, is set to showcase six advanced denim solutions at Kingpins Amsterdam, taking place from April 15–16, 2026. Under the theme “Creating Possibilities in Denim,” the company will present innovations designed to help brands and manufacturers balance sustainability with commercial performance.
According to Archroma, the denim industry is increasingly focused on reducing environmental impact without compromising on product quality or production efficiency. The company’s research and development efforts are centered on eliminating hazardous substances, improving performance, and lowering resource consumption.
At the event, Archroma will introduce a range of solutions across three key areas:
Cleaner Dyestuffs
Archroma’s dye technologies aim to address long-standing challenges in indigo and sulfur dyeing processes. DENISOL® PURE INDIGO offers an aniline-free alternative for authentic indigo denim, supporting compliance with major environmental standards while reducing pollution risks. DIRESUL® EVOLUTION BLACK delivers significantly lower environmental impact compared to conventional sulfur black dyes, minimizing water use and eliminating harmful by-products. Meanwhile, DIRESUL® RDT provides a bluesign®-approved palette suitable for a wide range of denim styles and applications.
Circular Colorants
The company is also advancing circular dye solutions by utilizing alternative raw materials. EARTHCOLORS® dyes are derived from non-edible agricultural and herbal waste, helping to reduce environmental impact. FIBERCOLORS® uses a minimum of 50% wool waste, transforming discarded materials into valuable resources for the textile industry.
Upstream Dyeing Innovation
Archroma will also feature DENIM HALO, an award-winning yarn pretreatment and dyeing process that enables ring-dyed effects at the mill stage. This innovation allows garment manufacturers to achieve distressed finishes using laser or wash techniques, eliminating the need for hazardous chemicals and manual processes traditionally used in denim finishing.
The DENIM HALO process has demonstrated significant environmental benefits while maintaining compatibility with existing mill operations. It also enhances fabric performance by reducing yarn shrinkage and improving garment strength.
Kingpins Amsterdam, an invitation-only denim sourcing event, brings together leading players from across the global denim supply chain. The event continues to serve as a key platform for showcasing innovation and fostering collaboration within the industry.
