Satab Group Reorganises Operations into Three Divisions to Streamline Global Offerings

Satab Group, a France-based narrow fabric manufacturer, has restructured its operations into three divisions: Maison Satab, Novalti, and Eweave. The move aims to segment its integrated production capabilities and align offerings with global market requirements. The reorganisation is also intended to improve sourcing efficiency for clients across five continents.
Satab Group has implemented an organisational restructuring, dividing its activities into three business units to better align with different market segments and applications. The three divisions—Maison Satab, Novalti, and Eweave—represent distinct areas of the company’s operations.

Maison Satab focuses on supplying products to the fashion, luxury packaging, leather goods, and home linen sectors. The division operates an in-house design office that develops customised ribbons, cords, braids, and knitted trims, including both rigid and elasticised formats. It also draws on the group’s certification as Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (living heritage company), which is used in engagements with luxury brands and garment manufacturers.

The Novalti division manages the company’s industrial and functional textile activities. It develops materials for sectors such as healthcare, defence, aeronautics, and security. Novalti operates a dedicated research and development facility known as the Hub, which designs straps and cords in line with industry-specific standards. The division focuses on producing materials capable of withstanding mechanical stress and incorporating finishing processes such as coating and heat-sealing.

Eweave represents Satab’s entry into the smart textiles segment. This division supports textile manufacturers and developers of connected products by integrating features such as leak detection sensors, data transmission systems, and lighting elements into textile structures.

“Our new brand architecture marks an important milestone in the group’s evolution,” said David Pignol, CEO of Satab Group. “It makes our offering clearer while highlighting the complementarity of our expertise, from textile creation to technological innovation,” he added.

Satab Group is an independent, family-run company established in France in 1905. Its manufacturing processes cover the full production chain, including yarn preparation, weaving, braiding, knitting, dyeing, printing, and finishing processes such as rolling, coating, heat-sealing, cutting, and garment making.

The company reports an output capacity of 10 million metres of ribbon per week. With the restructuring, Satab will manage a portfolio of 40,000 SKUs and aims to streamline its commercial strategies across wholesale and retail channels.
