Archroma Showcases Sustainable Textile Solutions at China Interdye

Archroma, a global leader in specialty chemicals, is set to present an extensive portfolio of advanced textile solutions at China Interdye 2026. The company aims to demonstrate how textile manufacturers and fashion brands can simultaneously achieve high performance, improved productivity, and enhanced sustainability.

Celebrating its 25th edition, China Interdye will take place in Shanghai from April 15–17, 2026, bringing together global industry professionals to explore the latest developments in dyes and textile chemicals. At the event, Archroma will highlight innovations across color performance, water repellency, sustainable fiber chemistry, functional finishes, and integrated processing systems.

Christine Cai, Vice President, North Asia at Archroma, emphasized that China’s textile sector is playing a leading role in the global shift toward sustainability, where environmental responsibility is now a fundamental requirement rather than a competitive advantage. She added that Archroma continues to support mills and brands with innovative solutions that meet both performance expectations and stricter environmental standards, reinforcing its commitment to long-term collaboration and sustainability.

Addressing Color Durability Challenges

One of the key sustainability issues in fashion is color fading, which leads to shorter garment lifespans. Archroma is addressing this challenge with its HIGH IQ® lastingcolorPRO program, powered by AVITERA® SE technology. This latest innovation is designed to maintain garment appearance for up to 50 washes while reducing water usage and CO₂ emissions by up to 50%, and ensuring fabrics remain free from harmful substances.

PFAS-Free Water Repellency Solutions

With increasing global restrictions on PFAS, Archroma’s PHOBOTEX® range offers effective, environmentally friendly alternatives. These solutions provide durable water repellency along with a soft fabric feel, without the use of PFAS, formaldehyde, or crosslinkers. Products such as PHOBOTEX® CWR-SUP and PHOBOTEX® CWR-LAD are based on renewable feedstocks and comply with key industry standards including bluesign®, ZDHC, and OEKO-TEX®.

Advancing Sustainable Cotton Processing

By combining Fibre52®’s low-temperature bleaching technology with AVITERA® SE dyes, Archroma introduces a new benchmark system for cotton and cotton-polyester processing. This integrated approach reduces water consumption and CO₂ emissions by up to 50%, minimizes process weight loss, and enhances fabric strength, softness, and durability. The system meets ZDHC MRSL v3.1 and OEKO-TEX® standards and delivers consistent results across all shades.

Supporting the Electric Vehicle Textile Market

As the electric vehicle (EV) sector expands, demand for high-performance automotive textiles continues to rise. Archroma is addressing these needs with solutions such as the TERATOP® dye range and UV-FAST® UV absorbers, which provide excellent light fastness, aesthetic consistency, and compliance with safety standards while supporting sustainable production.

Integrated End-to-End Textile Solutions

At the core of Archroma’s offering is the SUPER SYSTEMS+ platform, which integrates solutions across the entire textile production process—from sizing to finishing. These systems are designed to tackle industry challenges such as high resource consumption, complex chemical management, and the transition toward circularity. By combining advanced processing technologies with safer chemistries, they help mills achieve measurable efficiency gains while eliminating harmful substances.
