Company to present synthetic fiber spinning, recycling systems and new filtration technologies at Istanbul exhibition in June
At the upcoming ITM in Istanbul, BB Engineering will display its portfolio for man-made fiber production and recycling technology. The range includes extruders, filters, and complete systems for synthetic fiber spinning, air-texturing, and PET recycling.
A key launch at the exhibition will be the company’s new patented ValuePack spin pack, developed for synthetic fiber spinning.
The ValuePack combines two filtration methods — metal sand and filter candle — within a two-step filtration process. According to the company, the melt first passes through the filter candle for filtration down to 15 µm and then moves through the sand chamber for homogenization and shearing.
The company stated that this design provides improved temperature and viscosity homogeneity, enhanced spinning performance, and higher yarn quality for various applications, including recycling. Existing systems can also be retrofitted to use the ValuePack.
BB Engineering will also present its VarioFil® compact spinning system. The company said the system is used widely in Turkey, which is its largest market for the technology, with over 60 systems installed since launch.
Ralf Morgenroth, Head of Sales and Customer Service, said: “Our compact spinning system perfectly meets the needs of the Turkish textile market. Fibers and yarns from our VarioFil® customers are used, for example, in clothing, carpets, or textile automotive components such as seat covers or seat belts.”
The VarioFil® system produces yarns including POY, FDY, HTY, LSY, and HMY from common polymers, with a production capacity of up to 450 kg/h per extruder. It can also process recycled PET or bottle flakes directly into POY or FDY.
The company will additionally highlight its COBRA® filter, introduced earlier at the Plastics Recycling Show Europe and K 2025.
According to BB Engineering, the COBRA® filter is designed to manage increased contamination in recycling processes while automating filter changes and cleaning. The system includes two filter cartridges with automatic switching and a chemical-free intermediate cleaning process.
The company stated that the filter supports both coarse and fine filtration and can be applied in PET recycling as well as plastic spinning operations.
