Centric Software announced that R.M.Williams has gone live with Centric PLM to support collaboration across teams and standardize product development workflows.
Founded in 1932, R.M.Williams manufactures handcrafted leather boots and belts in Adelaide. The company, headquartered in Sydney, operates across footwear, apparel and accessories for men, women and children.
The brand holds B Corporation certification and operates 65 retail stores across Australia, along with stores in New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States. It is also supported by more than 900 stockists globally and an international e-commerce platform.
As part of its expansion strategy, R.M.Williams identified three operational priorities: governed libraries, standardized data principles and a single trusted source of truth. The company selected Centric PLM to integrate with its existing ERP and downstream systems.
Louise Peck said: “Centric Software stood out for its industry-aligned frameworks, hands-on implementation support and proven track record with global fashion and footwear brands.”
She added: “Implementing Centric PLM is a foundational shift in how we work at R.M.Williams. It’s less about speed in the early stages and more about building trust in our product data and the decisions that flow from it.”
Peck further stated: “Centric PLM is enabling us to move toward a single, governed source of truth that brings our teams together around facts, supports our sustainability strategy, ‘Crafting a Better Future’ and sets us up to scale responsibly as a global brand.”
According to the company, the implementation remained within the agreed scope and budget. Structured enablement sessions were also conducted during the deployment process.
Peck said: “The project remained within the agreed scope and budget and go-live was smooth. Structured enablement sessions that were detailed and comprehensive built deep understanding within the team and encouraged strong adoption.”
Centric Software customized its standard PLM framework to match R.M.Williams’s Australian manufacturing processes while retaining industry practices.
The deployment currently covers the company’s Core collection and SS28 seasonal ranges, connecting product development, manufacturing and downstream systems through a shared platform.
Peck said: “Cross-functional alignment across Design, Product Development, Sourcing, Buying and Garment Tech has been the most valuable early outcome. As trust in the data grows, we expect stronger collaboration, efficiency and decision-making.”
Fabrice Canonge said: “R.M.Williams is modernizing product development with a shared data foundation. We’re proud to enable a brand with such a strong heritage as it scales globally.”
