Bemberg™ Makes Independent Debut at Milano Unica, Showcasing FW 2027/28 Textile Innovations

Bemberg™, the premium regenerated cellulose fiber produced by Asahi Kasei, will make its first-ever appearance with a dedicated exhibition space at Milano Unica, the prestigious international trade show for high-end textiles and accessories. The event will be held from July 7 to 9, 2026, at Rho Fiera Milano, bringing together leading textile manufacturers, designers, and buyers from around the world.

The dedicated Bemberg™ showcase will highlight the fiber’s distinctive qualities while presenting the latest Fall/Winter 2027/28 fabric innovations developed in collaboration with its leading Italian and European textile partners. The exhibition marks a significant milestone for the brand as it strengthens its visibility within the premium textile sector and reinforces its commitment to sustainable innovation.

Produced exclusively in Japan from cotton linters—a natural pre-consumer byproduct of cottonseed oil—Bemberg™ is manufactured through a traceable closed-loop production process. Known for its luxurious touch, elegant drape, natural luminosity, and exceptional comfort, the fiber remains one of the rarest in the global textile industry, accounting for just 0.01% of worldwide fiber production.

Bemberg™’s environmental credentials are supported by internationally recognized certifications, including RCS, OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, and ISO 14001. The fiber is biodegradable and compostable in soil, as verified by INNOVHUB testing, and is also certified biodegradable in marine environments by TÜV Austria.

Additionally, the traditional networking event organized by Infinity in collaboration with Bemberg™ will return for the third consecutive edition. Industry professionals are invited to attend an evening cocktail gathering on July 8 at 4:00 PM at the Infinity stand in Hall 7, Booth C01–03.

A New Chapter After Recovery

The Milano Unica debut also represents an important milestone following the successful reconstruction and recovery of Bemberg™’s Japanese production facility after a fire temporarily impacted operations. The company’s strong recovery has reinforced its focus on innovation, partnership development, and international growth.

A Fiber Designed for Sensory Experience

Recognized for its exceptional tactile and visual qualities, Bemberg™ offers a unique combination of softness, fluidity, breathability, and moisture management. Its premium characteristics make it suitable for a broad range of applications, including fashion fabrics, linings, activewear, intimate apparel, and home textiles.

Through its first independent presence at Milano Unica, Bemberg™ reaffirms its commitment to advancing textile innovation, supporting sustainable development, and strengthening partnerships across the European textile industry while showcasing a fiber designed to be seen, touched, and experienced.
