Lenzing Highlights Scalable Bio-Based Nonwovens Solutions at Leading Global Industry Fairs

The Lenzing Group has strengthened its position as a leading provider of sustainable nonwoven solutions through a successful presence at three major international industry events—CIDPEX 2026 in China, Techtextil 2026 in Frankfurt, and INDEX 2026 in Geneva. Across these global platforms, the company showcased its innovative portfolio of bio-based fibers and advanced technologies designed to accelerate the transition away from fossil-based nonwoven materials.

As a global producer of regenerated cellulose fibers for the textile and nonwovens industries, Lenzing used the events to demonstrate how its fiber innovations and LENZING™ Nonwoven Technology (LNT) deliver scalable, high-performance alternatives for hygiene, wipes, and technical nonwoven applications.

Expanding Global Reach Across Key Markets

Lenzing began the year at CIDPEX 2026 in Nanjing, China, the world’s largest exhibition dedicated to tissue and disposable hygiene products. The event provided an important platform for strengthening the company’s presence in Asia while increasing the visibility of VEOCEL™ branded fibers for absorbent hygiene and wipes applications.

The company continued its engagement with international customers at Techtextil 2026 in Frankfurt and INDEX 2026 in Geneva. Visitors experienced LENZING™ Nonwoven Technology through interactive demonstrations that highlighted the performance, versatility, and sustainability benefits of Lenzing’s cellulosic nonwoven solutions.

LENZING™ DualWipe Receives Prestigious Industry Award

A key highlight of the exhibition season was the recognition of LENZING™ DualWipe with the prestigious INDEX™ 26 Award in the Nonwovens Roll Goods category. Developed using LENZING™ Nonwoven Technology, DualWipe combines two functional surfaces in a single product—an abrasive side for effective cleaning and a soft, highly absorbent side for finishing and wiping.

Unlike conventional synthetic wipes, DualWipe contains no synthetic fibers, binders, or finishing chemicals, helping eliminate the risk of microplastic shedding while delivering superior performance.

Patricia Sargeant, Executive Vice President Commercial Nonwovens at Lenzing Group, welcomed the recognition, emphasizing that cellulose-based, fossil-free technologies represent the future of the nonwovens industry. She noted that LENZING™ Nonwoven Technology combines renewable raw materials with advanced fiber and web technologies to create scalable and sustainable alternatives that meet growing regulatory, brand, and consumer expectations.

Supporting the Bioeconomy Transition

Lenzing’s nonwoven solutions align closely with the European Union’s Bioeconomy Strategy, which promotes the adoption of bio-based materials to reduce dependence on fossil resources and strengthen sustainable industrial value chains.

Through industrial-scale innovations already available to the market, Lenzing is helping manufacturers develop more sustainable products for hygiene, wipes, and technical nonwoven applications while supporting broader environmental and circular economy goals.

Driving Innovation Through Collaboration

Throughout the events, Lenzing demonstrated how its fiber expertise, application knowledge, and collaborative approach create value across the nonwovens supply chain. By working closely with customers and industry partners, the company continues to develop solutions that address evolving market demands for sustainability, performance, and resource efficiency.

With increasing pressure on manufacturers to reduce environmental impact and meet sustainability targets, Lenzing’s bio-based technologies are positioned to play a key role in shaping the future of the global nonwovens industry.
