Asia Pacific Rayon Expands Textile Presence in Asia

Asia Pacific Rayon (APR), a global leader in viscose rayon manufacturing, has reaffirmed its long-term commitment to key markets in Indonesia and India through a series of strategic industry engagements aimed at deepening partnerships and expanding regional influence.

APR recently marked its eighth consecutive participation at the Indo Intertex Expo in Jakarta, where it highlighted new possibilities for viscose and lyocell fibres while strengthening connections across the textile value chain. The exhibition served as a key platform for suppliers and buyers to explore innovation, collaboration, and business growth opportunities.

At the Jakarta showcase, APR featured seven partner companies representing spinning, weaving, knitting, and garment manufacturing. This integrated presentation emphasized the collaborative ecosystem within Indonesia’s textile sector and demonstrated how value is created through strong partnerships between fibre producers and downstream manufacturers.

A key attraction at the event was the display of lyocell fabrics designed for batik applications. Batik, a traditional wax-resist dyeing technique recognized by UNESCO, remains central to Indonesia’s cultural heritage. APR highlighted how lyocell fibres can seamlessly blend traditional craftsmanship with modern textile innovation, offering new possibilities for artisans.

Continuing its regional outreach, APR also participated in the Fibers & Yarns Expo in Mumbai, a major textile trade fair in India. The event provided an opportunity to strengthen customer relationships, explore new collaborations, and engage with India’s rapidly growing textile ecosystem.

During the Mumbai exhibition, APR introduced BVF, a finer denier viscose fibre developed for fine count spinning. This innovation targets premium segments such as high-end fashion, athleisure, intimate wear, and home textiles, aligning with evolving consumer preferences and demand for superior quality materials.

India remains a key growth market, driven by increasing demand for reliable fibre supply, consistent quality, and technical support. APR’s continued engagement reflects its commitment to supporting manufacturers in meeting both domestic and global market expectations.

Sachin Malik, Commercial Head at Asia Pacific Rayon, stated:
“In the current market scenario, success is not a solo pursuit. It is about how effectively we integrate into our customers’ reality. Our strategy in Indonesia and India demonstrates that fibre producers must align their growth with the success of customers and the wider textile value chain.”

As supply chains across the region face increasing pressure to become more resilient, APR’s approach highlights the importance of collaboration, innovation, and customer-centric strategies. The company’s ongoing initiatives reinforce that long-term competitiveness in the textile industry is driven not just by scale, but by strong partnerships and shared growth.
