New solutions target efficient, flexible and sustainable textile production across the value chain
Barmag, together with BB Engineering (BBE), will present solutions for the efficient and sustainable production of synthetic yarns at the Egy Stitch & Tex Expo in Cairo, Egypt, from September 24 to 27, 2026.
Under the motto “A New Era. Powered by Innovation.,” experts from Barmag and BBE will present technologies covering the textile value chain from melt to yarn at the ATAG Ltd. booth in Hall 1, Booth C1.
The portfolio will include technologies for continuous polycondensation and extrusion, along with systems for producing POY, FDY and IDY yarns. Texturing solutions for DTY, ATY, effect yarns and specialty yarns will also be presented.
Additional technologies cover BCF carpet yarns, staple fibers and nonwovens, while recycling concepts address the requirements of more sustainable textile production.
Egypt’s role in the manmade fiber market
Egypt is increasingly emerging as a strategic hub for the manmade fiber industry. Rising demand for high-quality textiles in the Middle East and North Africa is creating growth opportunities for producers and processors in the region.
The manmade fiber market is also benefiting from increasing investment in the textile industry and the growing integration of regional value chains.
Polycondensation technology and recycling
Barmag Huitong Engineering’s homogenization technology is designed to support the thermomechanical recycling of post-industrial polyester waste, including bottle flakes and film material.
The process creates the basis for producing high-quality rPET products. By specifically increasing viscosity, the technology can produce defined intermediate products for pellets, melt or fibers intended for direct spinning.
The technology provides greater control over polymer quality while allowing users to reduce dependence on external raw material suppliers. It also enables greater value creation from recycled material and supports more sustainable production.
DTY systems designed for production flexibility
Textured yarns are used in apparel, home textiles and technical textiles. Barmag offers different DTY system configurations for polymers including polyester, polyamide, polypropylene, PLA and PTT.
The modular machine designs combine established technology with process expertise and are designed to maintain consistent yarn quality while optimizing operating costs.
The systems allow producers to respond to changing market requirements and manufacture a wide range of products, while maintaining yarn quality for subsequent processing.
Specialty and fancy yarns gain importance
Alongside standard yarns, textile manufacturers are seeing increasing demand for products with distinctive appearances, textures and functional characteristics.
Cotton-like, linen-like and wool-like yarns provide opportunities for product differentiation. Barmag’s process expertise and flexible equipment technology are designed to support the cost-effective production of such effect yarns.
The technology allows manufacturers to control yarn parameters and develop specialty yarns on an ongoing basis.
POY and texturing technology for carpet and home textiles
Barmag is also presenting a system concept for carpet and home textile yarn manufacturers that combines POY and texturing processes.
The combination of the WINGS HD POY winder and the eAFK Big-V texturing machine enables the production of polyester yarns with high softness and volume as well as BCF-like properties.
The system concept is intended for manufacturers producing high-quality, high-titer yarns for applications in the carpet and home textiles sectors.
VarioFil® compact spinning system and ValuePack
BB Engineering’s turnkey VarioFil®compact spinning system is designed for manufacturers producing small batch sizes or specialized products.
The system can process different polymers and allows production to be adapted to changing market requirements. Combined with Barmag texturing technologies, it provides a product range covering standard yarns, specialty yarns and carpet yarns.
The VarioFil®R+ variant can process PET bottle pellets and production waste directly into POY.
For filament spinning, BBE is introducing the ValuePack spinning package this year. Its two-stage filtration system is designed to improve melt homogeneity and spinning performance, supporting process stability and yarn quality.
The technology is particularly suited to processing recycled materials and producing high-quality filament yarns.
JeTex® expands ATY production options

BBE is also presenting JeTex®, its solution for air texturing and the production of high-quality ATY yarns based on POY and FDY.
The specially developed texturing box is designed for gentle yarn handling, reproducible texturing effects and efficient production.
JeTex® can be installed as a standalone system or used as a retrofit solution for existing DTY systems. This enables producers to expand their product range without requiring a completely new system.
VacuFil®, Visco+ and COBRA for textile recycling
Recycling will be another focus of BBE’s exhibition programme, including the VacuFil®PET recycling system.
The technology is designed to process different PET waste streams and produce recycled melt meeting the quality standards of virgin material.
Its patented Visco+ key technology supports the removal of volatile impurities and automatic regulation of intrinsic viscosity. The modular design provides flexibility for subsequent processing.
The COBRA filter, another component of the VacuFil system, can also be integrated into existing systems.
The automated, continuous large-area filter uses an inline cleaning system that automatically cleans the filter elements with steam and without chemicals. Production can continue during the cleaning process.
Under the motto “Efficient. Simple. Safe.,” the COBRA filter is designed to improve process efficiency and ease of operation. Automation and self-cleaning contribute to productivity, longer service life and reduced operating costs (OPEX), while supporting process reliability.
Customer Services: Partnering for Performance
Barmag’s customer service portfolio covers the full lifecycle of textile production plants.
Services include technology and process upgrades, retrofits, preventive maintenance and genuine replacement parts. These measures are intended to support long-term productivity, plant availability and competitiveness.
Under the guiding principle “Partnering for Performance,” Barmag supports chemical fiber producers in using existing plants efficiently, responding to changing market requirements and protecting their investments over the long term.
