DiloSystems GmbH has successfully installed a state-of-the-art needling line at ALMA SPA, a Florence-based specialist in the floor covering industry known for high-quality products in a wide range of colors, styles, and aesthetics.
To meet its stringent quality and production demands, ALMA maintains an in-house polypropylene (PP) fibre production line. Its output serves four primary markets: exhibition carpets, artificial grass, automotive interiors and mats, and the domestic DIY segment.
To remain competitive in quality and pricing, ALMA opted to install a new, high-output production line from DiloGroup. The engineering was a joint effort between ALMA’s management and DILO’s engineering departments, focused on optimizing quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
The line features cutting-edge technologies:
- DiloTemafa fibre blending and filtration
- DiloSpinnbau card feeding and advanced carding systems
- DiloMachines high-speed crosslapping and 6-meter-wide needling, including inline DI-LOOP for rapid structuring
In addition to these components, the system includes modern process control units and DILO’s DI-Connect, an Industry 4.0-compliant digital monitoring system.
According to the Casini family, the installation and startup were smooth and straightforward, thanks to seamless collaboration between DILO’s field team and ALMA’s operations staff. The line reached full production capacity quickly, maintaining the hallmark quality that ALMA is known for.
