Swedish textile machinery innovator Imogo, a member of the TMAS (Swedish Textile Machinery Association), has officially opened a new showroom and production hub at the 7H Dyehouse in Kinnahult, Sweden, marking a significant step in the commercialization of its digital spray dyeing technology.
The new facility provides textile brands and manufacturers with a fully operational environment where they can evaluate, test, and implement next-generation textile dyeing technologies designed to reduce water, energy, and chemical consumption while improving production efficiency.
A New Hub for Sustainable Textile Processing
The newly launched showroom allows industry stakeholders to experience Imogo’s latest spray dyeing systems in real production conditions rather than laboratory simulations.
According to the company, the new facility bridges the gap between research and commercialization by combining advanced machinery, technical expertise, and operational capabilities under one roof.
“Our early partners have followed our journey from concept to commercialization, and this opening represents the moment when vision becomes reality,” said Joacim Wellander, CEO of Imogo.
He added that the company is now fully equipped to help customers move projects from laboratory-scale testing to full-scale industrial production.
Dye-max and Mini-max Technologies Take Center Stage
The showroom showcases Imogo’s latest-generation Dye-max and Mini-max spray dyeing systems, which support both laboratory trials and commercial-scale production for fabrics up to 2.4 meters wide.
The company’s proprietary digital spray technology significantly reduces resource consumption compared with conventional dyeing methods while lowering overall production costs.
Imogo specializes in the coloration of natural fibers, including both woven and knitted fabrics, with its chemistry specifically optimized for the high-performance application of reactive dyes.
The commercial-scale Dye-max system is capable of producing 1.5 metric tons of fabric per day, enabling manufacturers to achieve high-volume production without sacrificing quality.
Supporting the Textile Industry’s Sustainability Goals
According to Wellander, the company has spent several years refining both its hardware and dyeing processes to create a solution that delivers sustainability without compromising industrial performance.
The technology addresses some of the textile industry’s most pressing challenges, including excessive water consumption, high energy usage, chemical-intensive processing, and rising production costs.
By combining digital technologies with resource-efficient manufacturing, Imogo aims to support textile producers in meeting increasingly stringent sustainability targets.
Part of a Broader Expansion Within TMAS
The new showroom also represents the third major expansion by a TMAS member within the past year.
According to Therese Premler-Andersson, Secretary General of TMAS, the expansion follows ACG’s investment in advanced automation services at its headquarters in Skene and the establishment of ReSpin’s new Holma Spinning Mill in Forsa.
She emphasized that all three facilities will play an important role in shaping the future of textile manufacturing through digital technologies and sustainable production practices.
Open for Industry Demonstrations and Trial Runs
The Imogo showroom is now accepting bookings and inviting textile manufacturers, brands, and supply chain partners to conduct trials using their own fabrics.
Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the Dye-max technology in operation and explore ways to integrate spray dyeing into existing manufacturing processes.
