In order to promote interoperability and traceability in textile supply

February 6, 2025, Stockholm The fashion and textile industry’s premier platform for supply chain traceability and compliance, TrusTrace, is pleased to announce that it has joined Textile Exchange’s test pilot project to assess a multiparty TrackitTM system.

The project, which is scheduled to run until 2025, will be a major advancement in the supply chain for textiles and clothing in terms of traceability and transparency. The project’s goal is to evaluate how well an interoperable traceability framework works on various technological platforms. It is intended to reduce the workload for supply chain managers while preserving a robust and reliable standards framework that can be adjusted to a changing legal environment.

Participating in the trial study for TrackitTM

The TrusTrace platform is compatible with a variety of corporate systems and data formats and was developed to enhance interoperability. The platform collected primary data on over 12.9 million people in 2024.

worldwide transactions involving over 60,000 suppliers and over 1.2 billion units. TrusTrace’s capacity to compile, verify, and standardise supply chain data from multiple ecosystems guarantees that brands have access to current, high-quality data, which is essential for making defensible decisions to control supply chain and brand risk, maintain compliance, and promote more environmentally friendly practices. The test pilot is in line with TrusTrace’s mission to enable brands to understand, validate, and enhance the effects of their supply chains.

Unlocking the Advantages of Supply Chain Digitisation

In addition to examining a multiparty system’s interoperability, the TrackitTM test pilot seeks to provide the groundwork for supply chain innovation by facilitating:

Effective data exchange: simplifying cooperation amongst many stakeholders, including suppliers and brands.

Making informed decisions requires giving companies real-time supply chain visibility so they can successfully manage social and environmental risks.

Credible sustainability reporting: Making sure that companies have solid, validated data to fulfil new legal and regulatory obligations.

“A future with traceable, circular, and equitable supply chains depends on interoperability. Better results for brands, suppliers, and the environment are ensured by the TrackitTM test pilot, which moves the sector closer to a shared ecosystem where technology providers complement rather than compete. TrusTrace is Shameek Ghosh, CEO and co-founder of TrusTrace, stated, “We are honoured to contribute with our extensive experience in interoperability at scale to this exciting project.”

A Move in the Direction of Systemic Change

An essential first step towards a more cooperative traceability system is the TrackitTM test pilot project.
This program seeks to empower brands via the reduction of redundancies and the alignment of technological systems. and supply chain partners to control supply chain risk and compliance while achieving challenging sustainability targets.
