Trials of the Monforts Montex with Baldwin TexCoatTM G4 techno

At its Advanced Technology Centre (ATC) in Mönchengladbach, Germany, Monforts has finished installing a Baldwin TexCoatTM G4 digital spray equipment.

One of the ATC’s two full-size Montex stenter lines has effectively incorporated it, and it is currently open for extensive client testing, particularly for utilising all of Archroma’s cutting-edge sustainable finishing chemicals.

Softeners, antimicrobials, long-lasting water repellents, flame retardants, and several other water-based chemicals may be accurately applied to textile surfaces using BW Converting’s TexCoat G4, which when combined with industry-leading Montex stenters can save energy, chemistry, and water. use by as much as 50% when compared to conventional pad application methods.

In order to successfully improve the quality and performance of several new finished products while simultaneously improving productivity and resource utilisation, Monforts is offering crucial help to dyeing and finishing manufacturers in their development initiatives.

“Our ATC contains two complete Montex stenter finishing lines designed to support a very broad range of operations, along with a full colour kitchen, several lab-scale systems for smaller batch trials, and a Thermex range for the continuous dyeing of denim and other woven fabrics,” Hans Wroblowski, Head of Sales for South-East Asia at Monforts, explains. It allows our clients to test their own textiles and technical fabrics in authentic, completely private production settings. Based on the outcomes of these tests, we can also offer suggestions for enhancing a variety of fabric finishes.

“The new TexCoat installation will significantly increase our potential, and we are thrilled to be collaborating with Archroma and Baldwin to further transform the dyeing and finishing area.”

According to Rick Stanford, vice-president of worldwide business development for textiles at BW Converting, “this partnership is already creating a buzz in the industry and we have several textile manufacturers lined up to take advantage of running production trials at the ATC.” As a team, we are in a position as never before to quicken the rate at which dyeing and finishing undergo revolutionary change area that will boost production and improve quality while consuming a lot less electricity, chemicals, and water.

“The development of new concepts for chemical functionalisation and colouration will be taken a step further with the extension of our long-standing partnership with Baldwin – now including the processing expertise and knowhow of Monforts,” says Michael Schuhmann, Global Market Segment Archroma Textile Effects’ Technical Textiles Manager. Furthermore, we can now show possible savings and performance levels in real-world industrial settings, giving mill partners unambiguous evidence of efficiency without interfering with their output.
