INDA 2025 Report: Growth & Sustainability in Nonwovens

INDA’s 2025 Supply Report Highlights Growth and Green Shift in Nonwovens
Cary, NC – May 20, 2025 – The 12th edition of the North American Nonwovens Supply Report, published by INDA, reveals steady growth and a rising focus on sustainability in the region’s nonwovens sector.

In 2024, North American production capacity increased by more than 100,000 tonnes for the second year in a row, reaching 5.73 million tonnes. This expansion, supported by new investments across processing methods and end-use sectors, reflects the industry’s strategic evolution.

One of the key trends noted is the installation of new lines focused on long-life products, a clear sign of the industry’s commitment to eco-friendly innovation and reduced environmental impact. While output slowed in 2024, upcoming high-efficiency machinery is expected to improve future productivity.

Based on extensive producer surveys and expert interviews, the report delivers deep insights into production trends, capacity, operating rates, and trade dynamics across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

INDA President Tony Fragnito emphasized the importance of this report in guiding strategic planning and market adaptation, while Chief Analyst Mark Snider pointed to the critical role of producer participation in shaping valuable data and insights.

The full report is available free to participating producers, with key summaries shared with INDA members.
