The committee’s theme for the next two years is set as “India 2047”, which reflects the goal of achieving sustainable growth and development in the Indian textile industry. The committee will work closely with the government to organise investment summits, promote activities on both national and international levels, and foster stakeholder consultations.

The Indian textile industry has played a crucial role in the country’s economic growth, contributing significantly to employment, exports, and GDP. However, the industry faces challenges in terms of skill development, infrastructure, and technological advancements. The ICC National Expert Committee on Textiles aims to address these challenges and work towards promoting the growth of the Indian textile industry.

The committee’s new office bearers bring extensive experience and expertise to the table and are expected to drive the industry towards sustainable growth and development. Their leadership, combined with the committee’s focus on stakeholder consultations, sector-specific projects, and international engagement, is likely to have a positive impact on the Indian textile industry.

The announcement of the new office bearers has been welcomed by the industry, with many expressing confidence that the committee will be able to address the challenges facing the industry and promote sustainable growth. The Indian textile industry is poised for significant growth in the coming years, and the ICC National Expert Committee on Textiles is well-positioned to play a crucial role in this growth story.
