Italian Textile Machinery Industry Showcases Innovation at INDEX 2026

A strong delegation of Italian textile machinery manufacturers is set to participate in INDEX 2026, the world’s leading trade fair for the nonwovens industry, taking place from May 19 to 22 in Geneva, Switzerland.

The Italian presence will be highlighted through a dedicated Italy Pavilion, organized by Italian Trade Agency and ACIMIT. Spanning over 140 square meters, the pavilion will showcase cutting-edge innovations from leading Italian companies.

Global Platform for Nonwoven Machinery

INDEX has long served as a premier global platform for nonwoven machinery manufacturers. As demand for advanced and sustainable technologies continues to evolve, Italy remains a key player in supplying high-performance solutions to the international market.

Despite ongoing global challenges, Italian textile machinery exports have demonstrated resilience, reinforcing the sector’s competitiveness and technological strength.

Focus on Sustainability and Efficiency

“We hope that INDEX 2026 can represent a moment of strong momentum for the sector, confirming the recovery of global demand for innovative machinery,” says the President of ACIMIT, Marco Salvadè.

The industry has seen a growing shift toward solutions that balance cost efficiency with environmental sustainability. Italian manufacturers are increasingly offering customized technologies designed to improve production efficiency while meeting sustainability standards.

“Today, Italian manufacturers can offer highly customized solutions particularly suitable for making nonwoven production more sustainable,” confirms Salvadè. “In Geneva, Italian manufacturers will present the most recent innovations necessary to make our customers’ production processes more efficient and sustainable.”
