The fourth edition of Made in Filo will showcase a curated collection of fabrics developed from materials supplied by exhibitors, highlighting the creative and technical possibilities of yarns and textile processes.
Milan, Italy: The much-anticipated “Made in Filo” fabric collection is set to return at the 66th edition of Filo, offering visitors an insight into how materials presented at the trade fair can be transformed into innovative fabric developments.
Now in its fourth edition, Made in Filo is a distinctive initiative through which Filo takes an active role in the production process. Rather than simply presenting yarns and materials, the project brings together exhibitors and partner companies to create finished fabrics that demonstrate the potential of the materials showcased at the fair.
Showcasing the Potential of Textile Materials
The collection places particular emphasis on the technical characteristics of the yarns and textile processes used to develop each fabric. This approach enables visitors to see how different materials can be combined with specific structures, weaves and finishing techniques to create new textile applications.
Made in Filo also highlights the importance of collaboration across the textile supply chain, bringing together material suppliers, manufacturers and creative partners to explore new possibilities.
Three Textile Directions Inspired by “Botanica”
For Filo66, the Made in Filo collection draws inspiration from the three themes of “Botanica”, the product development concept proposed for this edition of the fair: Spontaneous, Expanded and Hybridised.
Spontaneous
The Spontaneous direction explores the potential of simple yarns. Despite their simplicity, the selected materials create fabrics with a distinctly natural character, demonstrating how subtle material choices can influence the final textile.
Expanded
The Expanded concept takes inspiration from the idea of an Italian garden. The fabrics feature delicate structures, subtle weaves and carefully developed surface effects, creating a refined interpretation of the theme.
Hybridised
The Hybridised direction offers a more experimental approach. Highly structured jacquards are combined with more technical yarns, allowing designers and manufacturers to explore new combinations of structure, texture and material performance.
A Platform for Research and Innovation
The Made in Filo collection will be presented in a dedicated area focused on research and innovation at Filo66.
By transforming exhibitor-supplied materials into finished fabric developments, the initiative demonstrates how innovation can emerge through collaboration across different stages of the textile value chain.
The project also provides Filo visitors with an opportunity to examine the relationship between yarn characteristics, textile construction and final fabric performance, offering inspiration for future product development.

The 66th edition of Filo will be held on September 15 and 16, 2026, at Fiera Milano Rho, Hall 24, Milan, Italy.
