The Government has finalized the establishment of PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Parks at seven locations — Virudhnagar (Tamil Nadu), Warangal (Telangana), Navasari (Gujarat), Kalaburagi (Karnataka), Dhar (Madhya Pradesh), Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), and Amravati (Maharashtra). The scheme, with an outlay of ₹4,445 crore over seven years up to 2027–28, aims to attract ₹70,000 crore in investments and generate around 20 lakh direct and indirect jobs.
Under the Samarth Scheme for Capacity Building in Textiles Sector, the government is providing demand-driven, placement-oriented skilling programs to support industry efforts in job creation across the textile value chain, excluding spinning and weaving. Implemented on a pan-India basis, the scheme in Haryana currently operates through 26 implementing partners and 80 active training centres, offering both entry-level and upskilling/re-skilling programs.
The government also provides financial assistance to Export Promotion Councils and trade bodies for participation in trade fairs, exhibitions, and buyer-seller meets at national and international levels to boost textile and garment exports.
Additionally, the National Technical Textiles Mission (NTTM), with an outlay of ₹1,480 crore for 2020–21 to 2025–26, is being implemented to strengthen the technical textiles sector, including activities in Haryana.
