By modernizing and improving one of its production lines in Bethune, South Carolina, Suominen expands its capacity to produce sustainable goods. The investment is in keeping with Suominen’s strategy and advances the goal of the business to lead the nonwovens industry in sustainability and innovation.
“With this investment, we address the growing demand for ecologically friendly goods and solidify our position as the market leader in sustainable nonwovens in America. According to Suominen’s president and CEO, Tommi Björnman, “this investment also enhances our operational performance in terms of safety, quality, and productivity.”
The project is expected to be finished in the first half of 2025, with an estimated total value of €10 million.
