Textiles Manufacturing Expo to Launch in Charlotte in 2027

AMI has announced the launch of the Textiles Manufacturing Expo, a new exhibition and conference focused on textile manufacturing, fibre and yarn production, machinery, materials and technologies. The event will take place on April 7–8, 2027, at the Charlotte Convention Center, North Carolina, alongside the established Textiles Recycling Expo USA.

The new event aims to bring textile manufacturing and recycling stakeholders together on a single platform, covering the industry’s complete lifecycle from raw materials and production to recycling and circularity.

New Platform for Textile Manufacturing Technologies

The Textiles Manufacturing Expo will showcase technologies, machinery, materials and expertise supporting modern textile, fibre and yarn manufacturing.

The event will provide manufacturers with opportunities to connect with suppliers across several areas, including:

  • Textile manufacturing, finishing and printing machinery and equipment
  • Fibre and yarn
  • Dyes, chemicals and finishing solutions
  • Testing, inspection and quality assurance
  • Automation, artificial intelligence and smart manufacturing
  • Software and digital solutions
  • Consultancy and R&D services

The exhibition will also feature a dedicated conference theatre, with keynote presentations, technical sessions and real-world case studies addressing developments across textile manufacturing.

Manufacturing and Recycling Industries to Connect

The new exhibition will be co-located with Textiles Recycling Expo USA, creating a broader platform connecting stakeholders across the textile value chain.

The 2026 edition of Textiles Recycling Expo USA attracted 1,858 visitors, 95 exhibitors and 52 expert speakers over two days. According to AMI, the strong participation from textile manufacturers provided a foundation for introducing a dedicated manufacturing-focused event.

The co-location is expected to create opportunities for manufacturers, technology providers, material suppliers, brands, designers, recyclers and other industry professionals to exchange knowledge and explore partnerships.

Chrissy Winegarden, Exhibition Sales Manager at AMI, said the new expo will provide a forum for suppliers of raw materials and production technologies to connect with textile manufacturers and discuss innovations and applications that can advance the industry.

Charlotte Selected for Textile Manufacturing Expo

Charlotte has been selected as the launch location due to its long-standing textile heritage and established manufacturing ecosystem.

The region is home to textile manufacturers, research institutions, technology providers and companies developing new solutions for the textile industry, making it a strategic location for an event focused on manufacturing innovation.

The launch also expands AMI’s involvement in the textile sector following the success of its Textiles Recycling Expo events in Europe and the United States.

Advancing the Complete Textile Lifecycle

By bringing manufacturing and recycling exhibitions together, AMI aims to create a platform covering the textile lifecycle and encouraging greater interaction between production and circularity stakeholders.

The Textiles Manufacturing Expo is scheduled for April 7–8, 2027, at the Charlotte Convention Center and will run alongside Textiles Recycling Expo USA.
