RSWM Limited, the flagship company of the LNJ Bhilwara Group, concluded its participation at Bharat Tex 2026 by receiving the ‘Data-Driven Sustainability Excellence in Textile Manufacturing’ award at the CITI Textile Sustainability Awards & CITI-Birla Awards 2025-26. The recognition highlights the company’s use of data-driven monitoring systems and sustainability practices across its manufacturing operations.
During the four-day exhibition, RSWM presented its sustainability-focused product portfolio under the SUTRADHAAR – The Thread That Connects Tradition to Tomorrow concept. The company showcased its Milkweed Fibre, a natural fibre designed to provide enhanced comfort and performance while supporting sustainable textile manufacturing. According to the company, the product attracted strong interest from domestic and international buyers.
RSWM also displayed its Protective Wear range, highlighting its growing presence in the technical textiles segment through advanced textile solutions developed for industrial and performance applications. The Ministry of Textiles appreciated the SUTRADHAAR concept for reflecting the company’s approach of combining India’s textile heritage with future-oriented innovation and sustainability.
The company’s pavilion was visited by several government dignitaries, including Union Minister for Textiles Giriraj Singh, Additional Secretary Arti Kanwar, Joint Secretary Padmini Singla, Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development Rohit Kansal, and Director, Ministry of Textiles Anil Kumar, who interacted with the company’s leadership and reviewed its sustainability initiatives.
RSWM has established an environmental monitoring framework that includes real-time utility monitoring, department-wise water consumption tracking, process-level resource assessment, and continuous performance monitoring of Effluent Treatment Plants (ETPs). The company also conducts periodic stack and ambient air quality monitoring through NABL-accredited laboratories and uses IoT-enabled sensors to improve operational efficiency and environmental compliance.
Commenting on the company’s participation, Riju Jhunjhunwala, Chairman, Managing Director and CEO, RSWM Limited, said Bharat Tex 2026 provided an opportunity to engage with customers, buyers and industry stakeholders while showcasing the company’s sustainable innovations. He added that the appreciation received for the SUTRADHAAR concept reinforces RSWM’s commitment to developing value-added textile solutions.
Speaking on the award, Rajeev Gupta, Joint Managing Director, RSWM Limited, said data-driven sustainability enables the company to improve resource management, operational efficiency and long-term environmental performance. He noted that the recognition encourages RSWM to continue advancing responsible manufacturing practices.
The company stated that nearly 70% of its total energy consumption is currently sourced from renewable energy and that it has proposed 2070 as its Net Zero target year, subject to operational review. Other sustainability initiatives include biofuel conversion of boilers, renewable energy integration, water recycling, Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD), and the recycling of post-consumer PET bottles into Green Fibre®, supporting circularity across the textile value chain.
Beyond environmental initiatives, RSWM continues to invest in sustainable sourcing, employee engagement and community development programmes covering healthcare, sanitation, education, vocational skills and livelihood enhancement. The company also continues expanding its recycled polyester portfolio through the production of Green Fibre® made from post-consumer PET bottles.
RSWM currently operates 12 manufacturing facilities with 5.47 lakh spindles, 6,120 rotors and 178 looms, producing synthetic, cotton and blended yarns, knitted fabrics and denim while exporting to more than 70 countries worldwide
