INDEXTM26 Concludes Successfully, Reinforcing Geneva’s Position as Global Nonwovens Innovation Hub

Geneva, Switzerland, May 28, 2026: INDEXTM26, the world’s leading nonwovens exhibition organized by EDANA in collaboration with Palexpo, concluded successfully in Geneva, reaffirming the city’s position as a major global hub for innovation, sustainability, and advanced technologies in the nonwovens industry.

 

Held across 50,000 square meters of exhibition space at Palexpo, the four-day event brought together 625 exhibitors from 44 countries and attracted 11,452 visits from industry professionals, technical experts, buyers, and decision-makers worldwide.Despite ongoing geopolitical uncertainties and challenging global market conditions, INDEXTM26 demonstrated strong international participation and industry confidence. The exhibition showcased the latest developments across the entire nonwovens ecosystem, with a strong focus on high-performance materials, sustainable manufacturing, circular design, and carbon footprint reduction.

Magali Fakhry Dufresne, Director of INDEXTM, stated that the event once again confirmed its importance as a key gathering for the global nonwovens industry. She emphasized that exhibitors played a decisive role in the success of the exhibition through high-quality and technologically advanced presentations.A major highlight of INDEXTM26 was the industry’s increasing commitment to environmental responsibility alongside technical excellence. Exhibitors introduced advanced production technologies aimed at improving efficiency, reducing waste, increasing throughput, and developing recyclable single-material solutions to replace complex multilayer structures.

The exhibition also showcased innovative protective textiles meeting new safety standards without the use of PFAS chemicals, reflecting the sector’s rapid transition toward safer and more sustainable solutions.According to Pieter Meijer, Chairman of the INDEXTM Advisory Board, the event’s seminar program and product presentations highlighted how companies are adapting to global market disruptions through agility, innovation, and sustainable manufacturing strategies.

The exhibition featured several specialized seminars addressing topics such as circular economy policies, sustainable innovation, advanced filtration technologies, smart manufacturing, public funding opportunities, mobility transformation, and global supply chain challenges.INDEXTM26 also emphasized networking and knowledge-sharing through immersive experiences and dedicated industry forums. The newly introduced “Women’s Networking Breakfast” received positive industry response for encouraging mentorship and collaboration within the nonwovens community.

Another major attraction was the immersive exhibition experience titled “Nonwovens: In Every Layer of Life,” which demonstrated the extensive role nonwoven materials play across healthcare, hygiene, automotive, filtration, construction, and industrial applications.The prestigious INDEXTM Awards recognized breakthrough innovations across various categories. Winners included Lenzing for LENZING™ Dualwipe, Corman for Organyc Personalized Protection Light Incontinence Pads, Confitex Technology for reusable nonwoven bed pads, Bostik for Kizen™ Miles 9.0, and ZUIKO for its recloseable baby diaper converting machine.

Murat Dogru, General Manager of EDANA and CEO of GNA, stated that INDEXTM26 highlighted how global collaboration, automation, smart chemistry, and lightweight material innovation are shaping the future of circular manufacturing within the nonwovens industry.Following the successful conclusion of the event, organizers have already announced the next edition, INDEXTM29, which will take place in Geneva from May 15 to 18, 2029.
