Andritz, the international technology group, has announced a significant order from Predo Health Products Inc for two high-speed hygiene converting lines. The move comes as Predo aims to expand into the adult and femcare market by manufacturing adult open diapers and feminine sanitary napkins at its factory in Gaziantep, Turkey. Start-up is scheduled for the first half of 2024.
Predo, a leading manufacturer of baby care products known for its high-quality production and constant development, already operates four baby diaper lines from Andritz. The company’s owner, Ibrahim Uygur, expressed satisfaction with Andritz’s first-class service and support during challenging times, including after the earthquake in Turkey, which allowed them to maintain production levels and serve customers on time.
Andritz’s two high-speed production lines are designed to offer advanced forming technology for absorbent core and superabsorbent polymer dosing. They are user-friendly and flexible, allowing Predo to manufacture a wide range of product compositions and sizes, and designed for zero-waste production. This sustainable approach will enable Predo to produce high-performing products with a more eco-friendly approach.
