Indonesia-based Asia Pacific Rayon (APR) has partnered with renowned fashion designer Toton Januar to launch TOTON 2027: KALA, a contemporary fashion collection that showcases the creative potential of viscose- and lyocell-based cellulose fibres. Inspired by Javanese and Balinese mythology, the collection highlights how nature-based fibres can deliver both artistic expression and functional performance in premium fashion.
The 10-look collection explores the versatility of cellulose fibres through innovative silhouettes, fluid movement, and refined textures. By utilizing viscose and lyocell fabrics, TOTON demonstrates how sustainable materials can be transformed into sophisticated garments that combine comfort, elegance, and design flexibility.
Speaking about the collaboration, Toton Januar, Co-Founder and Designer of TOTON, said the project provided an opportunity to experiment with new materials while creating designs that reflect the evolving needs of the fashion industry.
