Speaking at the inauguration, Santosh Katariya, President, CMAI, highlighted the growing opportunities in India’s apparel sector, driven by rising consumption in Tier II and Tier III cities and the increasing influence of e-commerce platforms.
“The Indian apparel market is witnessing steady growth, and NGF provides a platform for brands and retailers to collaborate ahead of one of the most important retail seasons of the year,” Katariya said.
The event has also attracted international buyers from countries including the UAE, Australia, Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mauritius and Sri Lanka, reinforcing its position as a significant sourcing destination for the global apparel trade.
Rohit Munjal, Vice President and Chairman, Fair Sub-Committee, CMAI, said the 83rd edition continues to strengthen industry collaboration by providing opportunities for MSMEs, large manufacturers, brands and retailers to connect and expand their businesses.
To facilitate smooth visitor movement, CMAI has introduced dedicated shuttle services between exhibition venues, railway stations and parking facilities throughout the three-day event.
Having successfully delivered 82 previous editions, the National Garment Fair continues to serve as a key platform for business networking, sourcing and growth within India’s apparel and fashion industry.
