The firm that specialises in speciality chemicals was placed top in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) Europe. the category of “Chemicals” with 79 out of 100 points. LANXESS placed fourth in the DJSI World and excelled in the domains of product stewardship, corporate ethics, human rights, water, and climate strategy.
For the fourth consecutive year, LANXESS’ AA grade was reaffirmed by rating agency MSCI ESG in November. The speciality chemicals firm is now ranked among the top companies in the “Commodity & Diversified “chemicals” sector. Companies’ ability to handle environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks is evaluated by MSCI ESG.
On a scale of A+ to D-, rating agency ISS ESG also upgraded LANXESS’ rating from B- to B in November, reaffirming the company’s premier position. This places LANXESS in the top tier. ranked businesses in the chemical sector. For each industry, ISS ESG considers about 100 indicators.
Additionally, EcoVadis awarded LANXESS a gold-level sustainability grade. The top 5% of the over 100,000 businesses assessed by EcoVadis are given this designation. The EcoVadis Businesses utilise ratings to evaluate their business partners’ sustainability performance.
