Grasim Industries Limited, part of the Aditya Birla Group, has appointed Deepak Tankala as Regional Head – Worsted Yarn, strengthening its leadership team within the company’s textile business.
In his new role, Tankala will contribute to the growth of Grasim’s worsted yarn business, with a focus on strengthening market presence, customer relationships and business development.
Tankala brings extensive experience in the textile industry, covering brand marketing, commercial leadership, international markets, yarn business development and market strategy.
Prior to joining Grasim Industries, he served as Head of Brand Marketing at Sutlej Textiles and Industries Ltd., where he worked across brand strategy, market positioning and business development.
Earlier, Tankala served as Country Head at Sulochana Cotton Spinning Mills Pvt. Ltd. in Bangladesh, gaining international exposure and experience in managing business operations across markets.
His appointment comes as the textile industry continues to see growing interest in value-added yarns, premium products and international market expansion. His experience across marketing, commercial operations and global markets is expected to support Grasim’s efforts to further develop its worsted yarn business.
