Vipul Organics’ membrane unit strengthens its manufacturing capabilities with proven casting, coating and drying infrastructure for advanced RO and NF membranes
Vipul Organics Limited has announced that its membrane technology unit, ADIMEM Technologies, has acquired an advanced industrial membrane sheet manufacturing platform from the Denmark facility of Aquaporin, a Danish membrane technology company.
The acquisition, completed through a competitive bidding process, will see the production platform relocated to ADIMEM’s manufacturing facility in Sayakha, Gujarat. The move is expected to strengthen the company’s capabilities in advanced membrane manufacturing and further expand its vertical integration across the membrane value chain.
The acquired platform includes precision membrane casting, coating and drying infrastructure, together with associated process-control and manufacturing systems. The equipment was previously used by Aquaporin for membrane development and production.
For advanced Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Nanofiltration (NF) membranes, manufacturing precision plays a critical role in achieving consistent performance. Control over casting, coating and drying parameters can directly influence membrane quality and functionality.
According to Vipul Organics, access to production-proven infrastructure will allow ADIMEM to accelerate the development of advanced membrane products while reducing the time and investment typically required to establish comparable manufacturing capabilities from the ground up.
Strengthening India’s membrane manufacturing ecosystem
ADIMEM Technologies already operates as a commercial membrane business with capabilities covering indigenous membrane research and development, product development, element manufacturing, quality control, performance testing and application engineering.
The newly acquired platform is expected to complement these existing capabilities by adding advanced membrane sheet manufacturing infrastructure to the company’s operations.
The development represents another step towards greater vertical integration in India’s membrane industry, enabling ADIMEM to bring research, manufacturing, testing and application engineering capabilities together within its own technology ecosystem.

According to him, the newly acquired platform provides advanced production-proven infrastructure for precision casting, coating and drying. Combined with ADIMEM’s indigenous R&D, element manufacturing, testing and application engineering capabilities, the platform is expected to enhance the company’s ability to develop and manufacture advanced RO and NF membranes.
The technology platform will support ADIMEM’s broader portfolio covering RO, NF, UF, MF and MBR membrane technologies.
