New Eco-Friendly Fabric Innovation Hits the Market

HUGO BOSS has announced the launch of NovaPoly, a groundbreaking recycled polyester yarn co-developed with partners Jiaren Chemical Recycling and NBC LLC. Holding the trademark and exclusive usage rights for the first year, the brand plans to lead by example in sustainable textile innovation, with future licensing opportunities across the fashion industry.

This development is part of the brand’s wider BOSS THE CHANGE initiative, with the first BOSS Green products featuring NovaPoly set for a global release in October 2025. The yarn is crafted from both production waste and post-consumer textile materials and includes a natural additive that enhances biodegradability—an important step toward tackling microplastic pollution.

Currently exclusive to the BOSS and HUGO brands, the company is working toward a licensing model that will allow broader industry access to NovaPoly in the near future. The innovation builds on HUGO BOSS’ previous work exploring sustainable fiber alternatives, such as its collaboration with HeiQ AeoniQ.

NovaPoly-integrated products will be available online, in BOSS retail stores, and through selected wholesale partners starting October 2025. The yarn will debut in performance wear as part of the Spring/Summer 2026 BOSS Green collection.
