PRINTPACK INDIA 2027 Sold Out Seven Months Before Opening, Marks Record Industry Response

The 17th edition of PRINTPACK INDIA 2027 has achieved a complete sell-out nearly seven months before the exhibition opens, underlining the event’s growing influence in the global printing, packaging and allied machinery industries. The Indian Printing Packaging & Allied Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (IPAMA), organiser of the exhibition, has officially stopped accepting new applications for exhibition space after the entire venue at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida was fully booked.

Scheduled to take place from 30 January to 3 February 2027, the 17th PRINTPACK INDIA is already shaping up to be the largest and most successful edition in the event’s history, driven by strong participation from both Indian and international companies and rising global interest in India’s printing and packaging technology ecosystem.

Complete sell-out reflects strong industry confidence

According to IPAMA, more than 600 Indian and international exhibitors have already secured their stalls on a strict first-come, first-served basis, covering a gross exhibition area of approximately 1,00,000 square metres. The early sell-out is being seen as a major vote of confidence in the exhibition and in India’s expanding role as a global centre for printing, packaging, converting and allied technologies.

By fully selling out months ahead of the event, PRINTPACK INDIA has reinforced its reputation as India’s flagship exhibition for printing and packaging machinery and one of the most important trade platforms in the world for the graphic arts and packaging industries.

A broad showcase across the printing and packaging value chain

The upcoming edition will feature a comprehensive display of technologies, machinery, solutions and services across almost every segment of the industry. Visitors can expect participation from companies involved in:

  • Printing machinery
  • Packaging machinery
  • Flexible packaging
  • Corrugation
  • Label printing
  • Screen and textile printing
  • Signage and LED solutions
  • Paper and non-woven products
  • Pre-press and post-press technologies
  • Digital printing
  • Converting equipment
  • Software and services
  • Consumables and spare parts
  • And several allied industry segments

This broad industry coverage is expected to make PRINTPACK INDIA 2027 a one-stop destination for manufacturers, converters, printers, brand owners, suppliers and solution providers seeking the latest developments in production, automation, efficiency and cost optimization.

22 associations and media partners join the event

In addition to the commercial exhibitors, IPAMA has also allotted exhibition space to 22 associations, federations and media partners, acknowledging their role in promoting industry growth and supporting knowledge exchange within the printing and packaging ecosystem.

This wider industry participation is expected to deepen engagement across the value chain and strengthen the exhibition’s role not only as a business platform, but also as an industry networking and policy dialogue hub.

Visitor numbers expected to rise sharply

The previous edition of PRINTPACK INDIA attracted 141,101 business visitors from 84 countries, highlighting the event’s growing international reach. Building on that success, IPAMA now expects the 2027 edition to witness around 25 per cent higher visitor attendance, which would make it the biggest visitor turnout in the exhibition’s history.

With demand for packaging innovation, digital print solutions, automation, sustainability-focused machinery and high-efficiency converting equipment rising across sectors, the exhibition is likely to attract strong participation from businesses in FMCG, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, e-commerce, retail, publishing, textiles and industrial packaging.

Support for MSMEs and early participation

IPAMA said it has continued its efforts to support the industry by offering special discounts to members and early bird incentives, making it easier for MSMEs and emerging enterprises to participate in the exhibition. This approach has helped expand exhibitor diversity while ensuring that smaller technology providers and machinery makers also gain visibility on a global stage.

The association’s support for broader participation reflects the importance of MSMEs in India’s printing and packaging machinery landscape, particularly in areas such as converting, label solutions, consumables, digital systems and ancillary services.

International-standard visitor services planned

To ensure a seamless exhibition experience, IPAMA has already finalised most of its service providers and is preparing a wide range of international-standard exhibition services and visitor facilities. Among the key convenience measures planned is a complimentary shuttle coach service between Botanical Garden Metro Station and the India Expo Centre venue, aimed at improving accessibility for exhibitors and business visitors.

The association has also launched a large-scale promotional campaign across print, digital and electronic media, both in India and internationally, to further increase visitor turnout and trade participation.

In the months ahead, IPAMA plans to organise industry interactive meets and one-to-one meetings across various states, while extending invitations to trade bodies, government organisations, industry associations and dignitaries for the event’s inaugural ceremony.

India strengthens its position as a printing and packaging technology hub

The early sell-out of PRINTPACK INDIA 2027 comes at a time when India’s printing and packaging industries are expanding rapidly, supported by rising consumer demand, growth in packaged goods, stronger export manufacturing, and the increasing adoption of automation, smart converting systems and sustainable packaging technologies.

By bringing together global machinery suppliers, Indian manufacturers, converters, print service providers and packaging specialists under one roof, the exhibition is expected to play an important role in showcasing India’s capabilities and strengthening its position as a global hub for printing, packaging and allied machinery technologies.

With record-breaking participation already confirmed and visitor expectations running high, the 17th PRINTPACK INDIA is set to become a defining event for the industry in 2027—both as a business platform and as a signal of the sector’s confidence in India’s long-term growth story.
