SDC Launches Global Colourist Award 2025 to Celebrate Emerging

The Society of Dyers and Colourists (SDC) is pleased to announce that entries are now open for the prestigious Global Colourist Award 2025. This international award recognizes exceptional talent and innovation within the coloration industry, celebrating professionals in the first 10 years of their careers.

Designed to highlight creativity, technical expertise, and diversity, the award is open to individuals across various sectors, including textiles, dyes and pigments, leather, food, paint, production dyeing, shift dyeing, and printing. It serves as a benchmark of excellence for those shaping the future of colour science and its applications.

Recognizing Outstanding Talent

The 2024 award winner, Joanna Kay ASDC from Heathcoat Fabrics Ltd, was celebrated for her technical expertise, creativity, and commitment to innovation. Nominated by her manager, Sarah Marshall, Joanna was recognized for her contributions to dyeing process improvements, formulation enhancements, and bridging the gap between design and technical applications.

Reflecting on her achievement, Joanna shared:
