The LYCRA Company, a global supplier of fiber and technology solutions for the apparel industry, is presenting an expanded co-creation concept at the Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics Autumn Edition, creating a more immersive trade show experience focused on innovation, performance and sustainability.
Building on last year’s ALL IN concept, the company has expanded its vision into a 356-square-meter Lifestyle District featuring partners including Jingzili New Material, JYT Textile, Lianxingfa Knitting and Trend Textile.
The Lifestyle District forms part of a larger 895-square-meter pavilion featuring 19 co-exhibitors, demonstrating how fiber, fabric and garment innovations can be combined to develop commercially relevant solutions for work, performance and everyday wear.
Co-Creation Takes Centre Stage
According to The LYCRA Company, the expanded pavilion is designed to demonstrate how collaboration across the textile value chain can translate individual technologies into complete apparel solutions.
Jason Wang, Vice President, Asia, The LYCRA Company, said the company wanted to create an environment that encourages curiosity, new ideas and collaboration, while demonstrating how innovation can move beyond individual products to become part of a broader consumer experience.
The pavilion showcases innovations under the LYCRA®, COOLMAX® and THERMOLITE® brands through commercial apparel applications highlighting performance, comfort and sustainability.
New COOLMAX Fiber for Woven Fabrics
Among the technologies being showcased is COOLMAX CloakFX™ fiber, a new solution for woven fabrics designed to help mask the appearance of sweat while providing wet and dry fabric opacity, anti-see-through performance and moisture management.
The fiber is made using 100% recycled PET and is certified under the Global Recycled Standard (GRS). The solution is intended to help brands reduce dependence on virgin raw materials while maintaining functional performance.
LYCRA FiT400 Fiber Previewed
The company is also previewing its LYCRA FiT400™ fiber for both woven and knitted applications.
The knitted version has been refreshed and is now available in three performance tiers—Essential, Expanded and Elevated—giving brands greater flexibility to select functionality and sustainability characteristics based on product requirements.
The technology provides non-spandex stretch and cooling benefits designed to remain effective throughout the garment’s life.
For woven applications, LYCRA FiT400 fiber enables fabrics with traditional aesthetics combined with durable low-to-moderate mechanical stretch, supporting all-day comfort across a variety of apparel categories.
Renewable LYCRA Fiber Supports Lower-Impact Apparel
The pavilion is also highlighting RENEWABLE LYCRA® fiber, which contains 70% renewable content, derived in part from field corn grown in the American Midwest.
The company said the fiber delivers the same performance as traditional LYCRA fiber while supporting efforts to reduce the carbon footprint associated with garments.
The combination of renewable content, recycled materials and performance technologies reflects the growing demand for apparel solutions that balance functionality with environmental considerations.
Focus on Performance Wovens
As part of the Intertextile programme, Ebru Ozaydin, Product Category Director, Denim & Ready-to-Wear, The LYCRA Company, is scheduled to present “Designed for Real Life: How Performance Wovens Are Reshaping the Everyday Wardrobe.”
The presentation will take place on August 26 at 10 a.m. China Standard Time at Stage H4.1-A149.
The session will explore COOLMAX CloakFX fiber and other innovations aimed at workwear, performance fabrics and everyday apparel applications.
Solutions Across Apparel Categories
Visitors to The LYCRA Company’s pavilion can explore applications covering performance apparel, workwear, denim and everyday essentials.
Located at Hall 4.1-E56, the Lifestyle District and pavilion demonstrate how ingredient-brand technologies can be incorporated into commercially relevant products designed around changing consumer expectations for comfort, performance, durability and sustainability.
Through its expanded co-exhibition approach, The LYCRA Company is positioning Intertextile Shanghai as a platform for collaboration across the textile value chain and for showcasing how fiber-level innovation can translate into next-generation apparel solutions.
